About ASD106 — Windows Powershell

This course focuses on the Windows operating system. It covers such topics and skills such as Overview of Windows, features and editions, troubleshooting tools and tips, installation and upgrade process, editions, and settings.  In addition, the students  will learn about PowerShell language for common technical tasks.

  • Understand the external perspective of a file system, including the concepts of files, directories, and operations performed on them such as reading, writing, creating, destroying, and moving files
  • Explain the internal structure and design considerations of file systems, including storage allocation methods such as contiguous files, linked lists, file-allocation tables, and i-nodes
  • Compare and contrast different directory structures, attribute storage locations, and disk space management techniques used in file systems
